Mission Statement
Broadmoor Presbyterian Church is called by God to Love, Serve, Worship and Grow as a community of faith in Jesus Christ. Vision Statement God challenges us: To LOVE the Lord our God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength and our neighbors as ourselves; To SERVE the Lord with gladness and to share God’s blessings with the world, especially those who suffer from need or abuse; To WORSHIP the Lord by lifting our hearts in praise, making a joyful noise to our rock and our redeemer and gathering around the “watchposts” of the Reformed tradition: the font, the table and the pulpit; And to GROW in faith through the study of God’s word and the use of our gifts and talents as disciples of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Mission Structure In Presbyterianism, the session is the governing body of the local church. Made up of elders—men and women elected by the congregation and ordained into the work of leadership—the session guides the congregation in its work. At Broadmoor Presbyterian Church much of the work of the session is done by four ministries which correspond with the vision statement of the congregation:
